Help me with the puzzle of Wm BLANKENSHIP b ca 1765 Va who lived in
Hardin Co, KY in 1850 & 1870 census. Had three wives, Cindarilla ___,
Lucinda GIBBS and Sarah ____. In 1880 census, Sarah BLANKENSHIP was found
in Grayson Co, KY with these children; Catherine, Emma E, Samonta, John H
and Sarah BLENKENSHIP. A William BLANKENSHIP was quoted in the Meade Co
Record in 1878 as having been married three times, etc. and claimed to be
the oldest man in KY. If this is same family, does anyone know where or
when Wm BLANKENSHIP died and was buried, sometime between 1878-1880. Am
interested in knowing of any descendents.

McClure's history of Hardin County mentions a James BREWER of St. Clare's Parish in Colesburg that served in the Union Army during the WBTS[War Between The States or Civil War - JGW]. I know of one James Brewer originaly from that area who served with Co. H of the 6th Kentucky- CS. His parents were John BREWER and Matilda WISE. Was there a second James BREWER in that neighborhood? Who were his parents? And does anyone have any information on the WISES? Who were Matilda's parents?

Desparate after 30 year search, to find birth, mar & death dates for
Edward, Edmund BLANKENSHIP. He was living in Hardin Co and worked some in
Breckenridge Co but lived at Vertrees area which is near the juncture of
these and Meade Co.. He married Mary Ann PRIEST. Also need all info on
her. She d. abt 1865.
Believe the father of Ed was William BLANKENSHIP who was written about in
the 1878 Meade Co Record as being oldest man in KY in 1878 at age 113!
His wife and two chdn were in Grayson Co census in 1880 so Wm must have
died between 1878 and 1880. Does anyone know his death date? Can anyone
look up in the Meade Co Record for those two years for any items about
his death? Any clues at all, will be so thankfully appreciated and can
