An Evansville resident since 1989, Eric has worked in a variety of media ranging from photography, film and video to drawing and painting. This diversity is reflected in both his varying styles and the varying scale of his paintings that range from the intimate 8x10 oil sketch to his 320 ft mural for the Pigeon Creek Greenway. Eric’s works have been both exhibited locally and published in several Indiana magazines and journals while his murals can be found in several homes and businesses. In addition, he has worked on several local decorative painting restorations including the Victory theater and the Historic Reitz home. He received his Master’s Degree from the Ohio State University and currently teaches both Film, Photography, and Art Appreciation at the University of Southern Indiana. |
With his photography, Eric concerns himself with the details and the graphic beauty of the world around us. He never stages his subject matter, but by concentrating on a documentary style of shooting, seeks out the beautiful in the everyday environment with an often bold use of color.
