Mom And Pop Stores In the old days on al-most eve-ry block, There'd be a small busi-ness shop. They were all kept clean, some had a small sign on top. These stores were proud-ly run by a Mom and Pop. Mom and Pop stores, can't be found an-y more. They've be-come more like folk-lore. I re-mem-ber times, I thought they were fam-i-ly. I like to think of them as they used to be. I'd like to go back to the old days a-gain. Things were much sim-plier then. If I could go back to the past, I'd make them last. But the die is cast. To some the fu-ture al-ways looks bright. But man-y good things are lost in the night. I'd like to go back to the old days a-gain. Things were much sim-plier then. Mom and Pop stores have gone so long a-go. My thoughts of those times die slow. I don't think I can for-get those times spent with them. Those mem-ories are like hav-ing a price-less gem. I'd like to go back to the old days a-gain. Things were much sim-plier then. Copyright 2000 By: Arnold Shulman/Glenn Smith (All rights reserved)
